OK...so I found these fancy contraptions called "pencils" and a "sharpener". Being somewhat of a whiz kid, I figured out how to use them without having to read their users manuals. I also figured out that I needed to buy something called "paper" on which to write with these pencils - your hacks only mention "using paper" so I guess your target audience consists of experts in the field. Miraculously, the marks I made on the paper with the pencil in my attempts to write looked somewhat like what appears on my laptop screen when I use its keyboard for the same purpose. However, no matter what I did, this new way of writing just didn't work - nothing showed up on my blog or my email composition window. I tried filling gas in my car, wearing shoes, getting a haircut even though I'm bald and I even moved from my couch to my desk (I already had one, thank you very much!) In the same hack where you mention using paper, you also talk about people sending "letters". Yes, I do know what these were, it's not like I'm completely uneducated! Do I need to get people to send me some of these letters first so I can reply to them "using paper" as you suggest? Is that a requirement for the pencil and paper to work? If so then, IMHO, this new technology is DOA - it requires the use of a obsolete legacy technology. I may not be an expert but I remain unconvinced that what you propose is superior to my trusty old laptop keyboard, mouse and screen for the purposes of writing. » POSTED IN:
