BlackBerry shutdown closer after ruling - U.S. Business - MSNBC.com
[ via Slashdot ] Damn, this could be pretty big stuff, eh? I'm guessing at least a few of you out there are rabid Blackberry users -- I've never even used one myself, but I have friends who live on theirs. So, I'm curious: How do you feel about the possibility of losing Blackberry service? If it went away today, what would you use instead? Do you have a fallback plan? 24 Comments

I read an interesting article...Submitted by Doug (not verified) on December 1, 2005 - 9:11am.
I read an interesting article on this at Gizmodo recently, that included: "If you’ve been following all the dealings that RIM is having with the law these days, you may be worried that your trusty Blackberry may not be worth its weight in raisins if an injunction is slapped on the company for copyright infringement. But RIM Co-Chief Executive Jim Balsillie says not to fret. In fact, he promises that if the company does get hit with an injunction to stop service, it has come up with a software upgrade that is sure to work around the patents." If they lose it will be interesting to see if the workaround actually works. The whole article is here: http://us.gizmodo.com/gadgets/blackberry/index.php Just scroll down to 17 November. As for me, I am not a BB user. I had a Kyo 7135 earlier this year, and constant access to e-mail + office in the house - GTD = Doug almost went crazy. » POSTED IN:
