BlackBerry shutdown closer after ruling - U.S. Business - MSNBC.com
[ via Slashdot ] Damn, this could be pretty big stuff, eh? I'm guessing at least a few of you out there are rabid Blackberry users -- I've never even used one myself, but I have friends who live on theirs. So, I'm curious: How do you feel about the possibility of losing Blackberry service? If it went away today, what would you use instead? Do you have a fallback plan? 24 Comments

I purchased my first BlackBerry...Submitted by picturegrl (not verified) on December 1, 2005 - 9:15pm.
I purchased my first BlackBerry in July, and I can honestly say that I understand why it is called a CrackBerry. I can't remember what life was like without it. I find it to be an enormous timesaver as opposed to cell phone. If someone calls me and leaves a message, I tend to just email them back. I also have set it up to chat, so I am rarely standing in line bored anymore. I can read or respond to mail, have a quick conversation with a friend, call someone, write an entry in my blog, make a grocery list... anything I want to do. Of course, it probably helps that my BlackBerry gets heavy personal use. As a freelance photograqpher, it is an integral part of my everyday business life, but since I am my own boss, I don't respond to it every time it vibrates. It has been the perfect example of technology changing my life instead of running it. » POSTED IN:
