[ via Slashdot ] Damn, this could be pretty big stuff, eh? I'm guessing at least a few of you out there are rabid Blackberry users -- I've never even used one myself, but I have friends who live on theirs. So, I'm curious: How do you feel about the possibility of losing Blackberry service? If it went away today, what would you use instead? Do you have a fallback plan? 24 Comments

I guess they were so burned by the Newton experience that they've been afraid to try again. Well, it's time to get back in the ring... And it wouldn't necessary need to be a modified iPod. Just a well designed, easy to use PDA that's as elegant as Apple's other products. As far as the blackberry goes, I don't own one myself, but I have clients, friends, and family that do. And while being "always on" isn't for me, it has certainly become a way of life for them. I'm not sure that it has had a positive effect, but regardless -- if the service gets shuts down, they'll be hurting. » POSTED IN:
