Open Thread: What's your favorite minimalist wallet?

Like most 43F articles on economical carriage and stowage, the Jimi post attracted a lot of interest. Makes me think it's time for an open thread: What's your favorite minimalist wallet? Jimi? Slimmy? Moneyclip? Coin purse? Goin' commando? Spill in comments (and feel free to link to canonical product pages or price compar-i-nators like Froogle).

My own winner for minimalism? Starting before a trip to New York in the late 80s, I started wrapping my driver's license, ATM card, and a bill or two in a couple of my Goody pony tail holders (shut up). I think that was my wallet for at least the next two years -- until I got my first real job and decided to go cowhide again. Still, it remains one of my favorites.

I spent a lot of...

I spent a lot of time looking for a good minimalist wallet. I ultimately stuck with the SlimSlimmy by Koyono. I've always getting comments from cashiers on how small my wallet is. Carries my drivers license, bank card, 2 credit cards, 4-5 pieces of paper containing various info (i.e., copy of health insurance card, etc.), 4 business cards, a band-aid, and a couple of bills.

I considered the Jimi, but felt it was to minimalist since the hard plastic means you are absolutely limited to the number of things you can put in it. I also didn't like its appearance. The All-Ett wallet is interesting, but I didn't like how it minimizes the thickness of the wallet by increasing the overall size of the wallet (cards side by side instead of stacked). Probably be ok if you keep your wallet in your back pocket, but I tend to carry mine in a front pocket, and thus wanted something that was similar in size to the Jimmi.

Just my 2 cents. SlimSlimmy can be found here: http://www.koyono.com/products/slim_slimmy/specs.html

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »
