As previous commenters have suggested, and from the point of view of someone who has loathed shaving for the best part of 15 years due to my ability to cut and nick myself constantly, the biggest improvement in my (progressively less frequent) shaving routine has been "pre-shave", or "shaving oil". The two I've had best luck with are Lush's 'Ambrosia' Cream and 'King of Shaves' Shaving Oil . (But I think any silicone-based oil seems pretty good.) Even a klutz like me finds it virtually impossible to cut myself. The shave-in-the-shower-with-a-fog-free-mirror is so essential to me that it's non-negotiable. But, if I'm honest, I spend most of my time wearing whatever facial hair couldn't be removed by using my cheap hair-clippers without a guard on. I call it 'rugged', generous people call it 'scruffy', my girlfriend calls it 'annoying'. » POSTED IN:
