Following up on the earlier post about becoming a better listener, I get the feeling I'm not the only one with problems remembering peoples' names. So how about a few quick tips via Google for remembering names: From How to Remember Names (wittcom.com). Boy, do I ever need this one:

I actually agree with Chris. I tend to repeat a person's name upon meeting them, but it seems to serve more as a mirroring act than a method of remembering. It's like as soon as I say the name my business with it is finished and so I "release it." Rather than attempting to remember the name, I just repeat it back as a formality. I often use the half-assed introduction technique and I, too, am quick to field my name in an introduction to stave my acquantainces' embarassments » POSTED IN:
