We've started a new feature over on MacBreak Weekly that I really hope becomes a regular thing: "_Mac Whines_!" Yeah, sure, I'm an unapologetic Apple fanboy (I, mean duh), but some stuff about my Mac experience makes me crazy. Have you got a beef with your Mac or OS X you want to shout from the shiny counter of the "Genius" Bar? Yeah, me too. I'll open with:

Main whine - why when I close the lid of my macbook pro doesn't it sleep properly - stays on - gets almost burning hot in the bag and then doesn't wake when you open it (you can see that there is stuff on the screen but no backlight. Other whines - ical downloadable calendars - I have the webcal://ical.mac.com/ical/Norwegian32Holidays.ics norwegian calendar - and its in unicode. Shame that iCal expects latin1. Oh - and why can't I start the machine if anything is plugged into the USB port nearest the power supply? Only that port. » POSTED IN:
