Mac spring cleaning
riverjack | Jul 13 2006
Hey ya'll, I'm feeling the need to do some cleanup on my mac since it's been over a year since I started using it. Does anyone have some advice or checklists that outline what they do (and how they do it) to keep their machine tip top? Thanks, Jesse 9 Comments

What I usually do is take a leisurely stroll through the usual suspects in both the root level Library and home Library folders -- Preferences, Caches, Application Support -- and nuke things that obviously belong to applications I've long since removed. I also check for InputManagers, Contextual Menu Items, Scripts, and Services that may have been installed behind my back. (Bad programmer!) If I can't tell what it is from the name, I assume it's from Adobe, and leave it alone. ;) » POSTED IN:
