Whats your my documents schema?

Hi All.

I had a computer crash the other day, and whilst I am waiting for my data to be returned, I thought it would be a great opportunity for some spring cleaning of my files. I know that there are a lot of you that are far more organised than me so I thought I would share my ideas about the optimal folders schema that will work for me. If any of you can suggest improvements, I would love to hear your suggestions.

Heres the schema(ps I give this as complete creative commons so do with it what you will!)
I have attached the folders as an image.
If there are any great changes I will add them in and zip it up. to share.

Thats why I suggested getting...

Thats why I suggested getting rid of the whole "c:\documents and settings\user\my documents" crap that windows creates be default, also because the "my pictures and such don't really fit under "my documents" either.
I actually downloaded picasa or linux but haven't gotten around to installing it yet, I haven't booted into windows in months so I haven't tried it there either. I always thought it was more for pictures because I treat all my scanned receipts as documents so I don't really want them mixed with pictures.

My suggestion would be to make another partiton or folder somewhere else besides the "c:\document..."
Make a d:\documents, d:\projects, d:\pictures, d:\reference, etc or data\documents, data\pictures, data\projects, data\reference, etc.

Don't limit yourself to the (bad) organization that is the default because what if you ever did want to switch to a mac (for example since its popular on thsi board). I have always belived the machine/tool/system should be made to work around the user, not the user should comform to the system.

Cranking

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »
