Getting Organized
swank | Sep 5 2006
Hi all, I have been looking for a way in which I can get organized but not spend the majority of each day keeping the organizational system going. I guess what I mean is do you have any recommendations for a simple (preferably software based) organizational system which is scalable but can integrate into a relatively fast paced lifestyle? I would like to commit to one and really stick with it for at least a few months to see if it helps. I basically need to organize my notes, schedule, and to-dos. Some options I have in mind: Sorry I am giving you so little to work with, but I have only recently taken a serious look at this and would really appreciate some feedback about your experiences and what has worked for you... 9 Comments

I use Backpack. It's Outlook's polar opposite... Yeah, that is part of the attraction. I already have email set up through Thunderbird, which does contacts as well (plus I have business cards done in Neat Receipts), so I think Outlook would be overkill. I just love their calender! I have been happy with Google Calendar, but Backpack seems to be the only all-in-one solution (calendar, notes, reminders, To-Dos). Backpack does have its shortcomings- calendar events only have 30 min reminders, you have to pay for it, and the calendar does not seem to be up to the level of google, 30boxes, or Kiko. Any thoughts? » POSTED IN:
