So, emory if you could explain how you are using the Levenger for your activities and such.

Are you continuing to use your Pocket Briefcase for index cards?
How does that work into the system?

Are you printing out your calendar to hold in the Circa?

I'm thinking I would do that, I keep my calendar on iCal, but looking at the print options on iCal I'm not sure it will print out nicely for the Junior size of the Circa.

Thanks.

I'm using it as my meeting notetaker, doodling spot, documentation requirements capturing, outliner, map-maker, idea stealer, and journal. Any harebrained scheme I'm plotting probably has a bunch of material related to it in my Circa. It is for all intents and purposes, a catalog of my failures and an index of my missteps, with some awesome things sprinkled in between to keep things upbeat. At least that is what it feels like some days ;)

I reference things from my 3x5 cards to point to a page in the Circa if I need to. Like if I have a task that is something like "Brainstorm about Awesome Idea:" I'll write a little reminder that its either in my circa or what I called the page, some method of getting me there. I'll draft parts of a document in there that is pointed at by a project card. I'll take notes during a meeting into it and then use it as reference when I'm creating that Project Card that is sure to come.

I use my Shirt Pocket Briefcase for active things. I keep my context cards in there. I keep all my projects and related cards in the Rope Case. I keep a few blanks in the SPBC so that I always have a capture card available (and I use them a lot) but don't like to keep a lot of cards in there. The harder it is to find the card I want, the less likely I am to go for it. I don't like to carry all those project cards around with me everywhere. There are too many. That is why I got a huge Rope Case to wrangle them all in. Yeehaw.

My Circa isn't where I manage my lists. It is reference, capture, and climbing-the-walls-crazy-rantings. It is pictures of things I draw when I'm bored. It is my thoughts on a particular topic.

I don't print my calendars or keep them on my cards or in my notebook. I prefer something that will nag me for that. So my appointments are on my mobile phone.

Cranking

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »
