David Allen's Paper Planner

Anybody look at David Allen's Paper Planner setup? Seems like a good general guide to use when starting to design your own paper planner. Does anyone implement this? 10 Comments

I didn't want a letter-size...Submitted by Stew on December 6, 2006 - 2:48pm.
I didn't want a letter-size notebook either, simply because it's too large not to be awkward. I tried making my own Rollabind Jr. using half sheets. Too time consuming. The Junior-sized sheets are smaller than classic. I spent too much time at the paper cutter to be productive. Sure, I could just purchase Levenger or Rollabind refills. Levenger's paper, as great as it is, makes me feel guilty when using it for insignificant notes. Rollabind's paper (from Staples) is of such low quality I can't use it efficiently with the Circa rings. Plus, I wanted to be able to design my own templates. I soon became aware that dealing with letter-size wasn't the problem. It created more problems for me to try to avoid it. In the end, I now love the letter size. I feel as though I have the freedom to add anything I want, without having to worry about the paper sticking out beyond the edges of the cover. I can quickly remove pages to share/copy or store in manila folders. Sure, the notebook is a little big, but when I'm out and about, I carry index cards with my next actions. » POSTED IN:
