Play WMV content in Quicktime Player

I just ran by a program called WMV Player for OS X. It plays WMV files in Quicktime Player. It's sanctioned by Microsoft, I actually found it while downloading IntelliPoint 6 from their site. I think this is a good thing because Windows Media Player 9 for the Mac is el suck. They say it's the 12th most popular download on the Microsoft Download Center for Macs, so I guess I've just been in the dark. 2 Comments

Yeah Flip4Mac is quite good. They also make a plugin to let QuickTime users author WM content. But I don't know why you'd want to, since MPEG4 is more portable. Note: I have found some things that do not play in that plugin, such as people that author for WMP9. A lot of TV stations that put clips online are still shunning Mac users (and everyone else for that matter) by not using MPEG4. » POSTED IN:
