What I love about Quicksilver

Let me count the ways: 1. The Shelf. 'nuff said. oh, and 9. Launching programs. I'm sure there are many others but these are the main reasons I could not imagine having a Mac without Quicksilver. 13 Comments

Why do you need the shelf for this? I can do the same thing with the comma trick. Find a file you want to move, press comma, lather, rinse, repeat. Then perform the action on all the files at once.* Like I said, there are probably different ways of doing things, I just happened to like using the shelf. I use the comma trick all the time, but sometimes the comma trick doesn't do what I want, like copypasting multiple items. Try highlighting some text and hitting cmd-esc (send selection to Quicksilver) and then using the comma trick. I thought this would be a great way to copypaste several items but when you try to do this all you get is one item called "combined item". If I use the shelf, however, I can do all of that relatively easily. I could probably just as easily use the clipboard, but what fun would that be? ;) » POSTED IN:
