LazyWeb request: DYMO labelwriter AppleScript from Quicksilver
duus | Sep 20 2006
Hello. the DYMO Labelwriter software has very good applescript support. Below is a script that comes with the DYMO MAC software development kit. It makes a new label, adds text to it, saves it, and prints it. Now, someone who knows some quicksilverapplescriptmagic must be able to modify it to take a text string directly from quicksilver to the label writer! It must be possible! Anyone want to give it a shot? You'll make lots of friends, and Merlin might even feature you on the front page, since he loves his DYMO. http://www-personal.umich.edu/~apape/Post/DYMO/ UPDATE: see post 3; solved. 2 Comments

Hey, my first successful quicksilver applescript: Go to: http://www-personal.umich.edu/~apape/Post/DYMO/ And grab "dymolabel.scpt". __Installation__ Put it in ~/Library/Application Support/Quicksilver/Actions/ __Use__ type "." and text in the first window of QS, and then in the second window choose "dymolabel.scpt". __Personalization__ The lines in the script (open in script editor) which contain the comments "Label file" and "font size" can be modified in obvious ways, if one wants to change the...well...the label file and font size. » POSTED IN:
