Problems w/ EPSON CX6000

Just bought an EPSON CX6000 as I needed a new printer to go along w/ the new iMac. The friendly EPSON rep at my local MicroCenter convinced me that his printers were absolutely suited to print on 3x5 index cards. After having tried every possible combination of paper sizes for page setup and print layout, I have had no success in printing the DIY Planner properly. The smallest paper size the printer appears to recognize is the built-in 3.5x5 size. As soon as I go to use a custome paper size that is any smaller than 3.5in in width, the printer simply grabs the first index card and spits it through the printer w/out printing anything. Attempting to force a proper layout of the DIY cards onto physical 3x5 cards while using the 3.5x5 paper size is not leading to the proper results either. Anyone know if I am missing something? I am about to box this thing up and take it back to the store. Any help would be much appreciated. The friendly EPSON rep of course did not mention that the tech support was NOT a toll free number and is only open during business hours. My relationship w/ EPSON is about to be permanently damaged.

Problem resolved

Problem has been resolved by using the original graphics files for the DIY planner by Douglas Johnston. I am printing to the 3.5x5 paper size, but using 3x5 index cards. The output is properly sized and the output is fine.
