Minimalist Wallet Carriers: What do you carry?

I went to a "minimalist" front-pocket wallet a couple years ago and my leather Hilfiger money-clip / wallet has seen its better days. Last week I ordered a Jimi wallet online and received it today. It's pretty cool and about the same size as my leather wallet. However, unlike a leather waller, the Jimi won't stretch to accomodate "just one more card..."

As I set about "moving in" to my new wallet this morning, I became a bit vexxed and started to wonder how other folks deal with stuff you don't want to carry everywhere but may want at unforeseen times.

Here's what I've got...

- Visa/Check card
- Drivers license
- "Regular" credit card
- Rocky Mountain National Park annual pass
- Auto insurance card
- Health insurance card
- Safeway card
- REI card
- Qdoba card
- athletic pass (as a high school administrator, this gets me into any varsity athletic event)

As an example, 90% of the time, I am fine carrying my DL, my check/ATM card, and a credit card. But what about my health insurance card? Or my auto insurance card? Those are certainly not things I want to be without on the 1% chance I might need them unexpectedly... Then there's the "reward" cards like the one from Safeway or Qdoba or REI. Most of the time I plan for those places, but not every time...

Of course there's the obvious solution of leaving them in the car, but what kind of risk does that pose should my vehicle be broken in to?

I understand that the point of being "minimalist" is not to carry that stuff. I'm just trying to see what works for others...

Thanks in advance!

This is a good chance...

This is a good chance to do a little inventory. :) I carry a credit card case that I got at Target for $8, if memory serves me. It has 4 slots on either side and folds in the middle. It currently holds:
driver's license
bank debit card
work credit card
4 other credit/store cards
health & dental cards (dental is thin)
Joann's Crafts gift card
Barnes & Noble rewards card
Barnes & Noble gift card (which I'd forgotten about until just now!)
Southwest FF card (thin - shouldn't really be there, just got in the mail recently)
Independent bookstore frequent buyer card (paper)
Yarn store frequent buyer card (paper)
DSW member card (paper)
$20 folded up in one slot
$6 (1 five, 1 one) folded up in another slot

Pretty amazing for something the size of a front-pocket wallet!

I also carry a skinny checkbook size paper calendar. There's a clear pocket on the inside front and back and in there I keep:
a couple of pictures of the kid
the first "I {heart} you" note he wrote me
extra business and personal cards
a teeny envelope with the dental x-rays my dentist gave me just in case a certain tooth she filled needed an emergency root canal (a year ago, knock-on-wood)
an Old Navy gift card
4 $100 bills I've been hoarding for some strange reason
a "President Clinton called while you are out and wants you to call her back" joke post-it from a friend
a $7 lottery scratch off
a fortune from a fortune cookie
3 receipts accumulated on this business trip
a British 5-pound note
my index cards

Still amazingly slim - not as thick as even a regular checkbook.
