We use it for our co-ed slow pitch softball team lineups. There's one sheet that defines the roster, including the sex of the player. It also includes a column that tells us wheather the player will be at the next game. There's then another sheet where you can plug in the inning-by-inning defensive alignment. This sheet is smart enough to know when you've broken rules (fewer than 3 girls playing), if you're playing someone who won't be at the game, and tallies the innings played by each player so we can keep things fair and even amongst the team. A third sheet allows the manager to set the batting lineup. Not a whole lot of intelligence here other than flagging if players are scheduled to appear in a game but aren't in the lineup. The final sheet simply pulls in the lineup and deffensive alignment sheets and creates a pretty printout with all the information on one page. We print out a couple of copies to put on the bench for players to check every inning.
