We've started a new feature over on MacBreak Weekly that I really hope becomes a regular thing: "_Mac Whines_!" Yeah, sure, I'm an unapologetic Apple fanboy (I, mean duh), but some stuff about my Mac experience makes me crazy. Have you got a beef with your Mac or OS X you want to shout from the shiny counter of the "Genius" Bar? Yeah, me too. I'll open with:

The overall build quality of the MBP. I've owned many Mac laptops, all of them before this one were refurbs and all ran from a hardware sense flawlessly. Here I sit with my MBP almost a year old and waking from sleep is a total gamble. Sometimes the screen doesn't come on, sometimes it comes on and then goes into a wild pixelated mess, all of which leave me with no other option but to reboot. Now, I face the nightmare of sending the laptop to Apple Care only to see my productivity plummet while I try to hobble along with transfered files on a G4 mini. » POSTED IN:
